A tummy tuck also known as abdominoplasty is a cosmetic surgical procedure to improve the appearance of the abdomen. During a tummy tuck excess skin and fat are removed from the abdomen. Connective tissue in the abdomen (fascia) usually is tightened with sutures as well. The remaining skin is then repositioned to create a more toned look.

She was born in 1973, Balıkesir. After graduating from Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine, she completed her specialization in Lütfi Kırdar Research and University Hospital, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery Department. In 2004-2005, she was a fellow doctor at Body and Breast Shaping Center in Michigan, USA. She continues her scientific publications and other academic studies in her clinic and at the hospital.
